Chandra sturrup bahamas
Chandra Sturrup was a Bahamian sprinter who appeared at five Olympic Games from 1996-2012. She won gold with the Bahamas 4x100 metre relay team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, after a silver in that event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Sturrup won six medals at World meets, winning the 60 metres at the 2001 World Indoor Championship.
She added silvers in the 2003 World Championship 100 metres, the 2009 4x100 at the World Indoors, and the 60 metres at the 1997 World Indoor Championships. She also won bronze in the 100 metres at the 2001 World Championships.
Sturrup’s international record was extensive.

She won two medals at the Pan American Games in the 100 metres, with gold in 1999 and bronze in 2007. She was twice a gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games, winning the 100 metres in 1998 and the 4x100 relay in 2002. At the Central American and Caribbean Championships, she won seven medals, with golds in the 100 metres in 2005 and 2008, and the 4x100 relay in 1997.
