The Governing Council of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has approved the promotion of the former President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Nasir Isah Fagge, alongside 33 other academic staff of the institution to the rank of professors, while 56 others are now associate professors.
The approval came at the end of the fifth meeting of the 14th Governing Council of the university held on Thursday, for the 2020/2021 academic session, the university’s official bulletin reported on Friday.
The names of those who got promotions are contained in a statement by the acting Director Establishment of the institution, Binta Yahaya Kofar Na’isa.
